Pedro Tavares, State Secretary for Justice in Portugal had just dwelled on Portugal’s quest for new ways to offer court services online. Such as divorce proceedings. “No way”, a digital transformation consultant exclaimed upon hearing this, “a divorce is a real thing, you cannot do such a thing online”. “Well”, I said, “Mr Tavares added that all parties and their representation need to be in one room, while the judge can physically be in another in front of another screen”. Te dik opgelegd en te voorspelbaar. Hardy was slim, Laurel dom. Taarten gingen altijd door de lucht, banenschillen misten nooit hun doel en langsgedragen glas ging geheid aan diggelen .   Zo zie ik ook met lede ogen de altijd weer repeterende act van de Nederlandse managers, kooplieden, politici en hotemetoten die in Duitsland langskomen met slechts een doel voor ogen: in een directe lijn bij de macht aan tafel. De banenschillen liggen overal en, ja hoor, daar begint de glijpartij. De eerste misvatting van Nederlanders is, dat Duitsland is als Nederland, met dien verstande dan dat ze er Duits spreken, wat minder humor hebben en hard auto rijden. Niets is minder waar.
